How to Order Your Transcripts

Official transcripts will be available from the University of Iowa beginning Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Please note that the most recent transcripts are processed first, there may be an additional delay for older transcripts.

Counseling records were transferred to the University of Iowa upon Iowa Wesleyan’s closure. If you would like to request your records, contact the University of Iowa.

Iowa Wesleyan University was a four-year coeducational university of liberal arts and sciences related to the United Methodist Church. Iowa Wesleyan University was accredited by the Higher Learning Commission an institutional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

 

The University was accredited by the University Senate of the United Methodist Church. The Nursing Program is approved by the Iowa Board of Nursing (IBON, Riverpoint Business Park, 400 SW 8th St., Suite B, Des Moines, IA 50309; 515-281-3255). The University was approved by the government training program under the Veteran’s Bill (550 and 894).

Will my Iowa Wesleyan degree be recognized as valid after the University closes?

Higher education degrees always remain valid if they were conferred by a fully accredited institution at the time of closure.

How will potential employers verify my education at Iowa Wesleyan?

You can order a transcript from the University of Iowa to be sent directly to your employer for verification of your education.

Will there be a reunion event or other chance for Iowa Wesleyan alumni to gather together?

Events are planned occasionally with the Alumni Council or by member of the Alumni Association. Keep an eye on our website for any upcoming events.

What happened to the Iowa Wesleyan archives?

Archives were transferred from the Chadwick Library to the Henry County Heritage Trust (HCHT) Muesum in the former Saunders Elementary school.
